TE-TO (Tensegrity Tower)Collaborators: Jongmin Jeon, Zahabiya Sakarwala
Te-To (Tensegrity Tower) was designed through parametric modeling in Grasshopper and Rhino. The structure is made of locally harvested bamboo and steel cable. It showcases the properties of tensegrity, the material, and a construction method that are lightweight and strong. Tensegrity allows the compression members (bamboo) to appear floating as they never touch.

The structure consists of 3 layers with thicknesses tapering towards the top. 3-sided tensegrity units are clipped together using adjustable cable hangers and crimps. A larger unit spanning outward was placed on top to provide a larger presence.
