Two courtyards extend from the parking lot, and spaces branch out from them. The geometries of the building allow for small nitches that nature and/or the visitor can occupy. Poche becomes occupiable, framing views and programs. The wetland to the west of the building creep into these spaces as monolithic walls push and pull the site.
Nature and the Lodge highlight each other as they act as opposites. A viewer from the exterior notices the building more as it stands out in the wetland, while someone viewing outwards from the interior appreciates the natural enviorment more.
